I am a graphic/web designer living in Munich, Germany. Born in Grahamstown, South Africa, I have always had a predisposition for art in all forms. In my younger years I took a keen interest in pencil drawing and this would form the basis for my abilities to pay attention to the most intricate of details in all my work. After moving to Johannesburg, I was encouraged by a fantastic art teacher to follow my desires with regards to art and in so doing developed my skills in various artist directions. I was later to meet a tremendous artist, Kevin Smyth, who was to become a considerable inspiration and artistic mentor whose art has influenced my own in many ways.
On completing high school I travelled to New York to further my studies along artistic lines and it was there where my true interest in computers began. After receiving my first degree in Visual Arts with a focus on Computer Aided Design, I decided to continue studying with a focus on computers and art and went to the University of Massachusetts Amherst where I received my second degree in Computer Graphics/3D Animation. Upon returning to South Africa, I began working for Internet Solutions and later Dimension Data before the urge to travel got the best of me and I headed for Europe where I was finally to see all the art I had studied and heard about. I spent some time in Interlaken, in the beautiful area of the Berner Oberland, before moving to London where I worked for Elonex. During my time in London I had travelled to Munich on numerous occasions and fell in love with the city, the people and the rich culture. After moving to Munich I worked for 3GNet and iCrossing where I was to further my knowledge of online marketing, SEO and SEM.
